Speedy Fox and Friends #110 - Use Buttons

Hello Friends,

WOW can you believe it is June already? Where in the world is this year going? Well welcome to a new and exciting challenge with Speedy Fox and Friends. This week our challenge to you is to make a card using buttons. I have been seeing some really cool cards with buttons on them on Pinterest so I took an idea from one of those cards and tweeked it a bit.

For my card I am using Mark's Finest Papers, a Heinrich Co "Hello Butterflies" stamp set. I used a speckeled cream card stock for the base and laced my buttons with cream colored twine and placed them on my card. I colored my butterfly and mounted it to my card with pop dots. Tutorial Time on SpeedyTV Challenge 1

Hello Friends and Happy Friday,

We have some new and exciting news for you today. Happy Friday! Mark's Finest Papers, a Heinrich Co has some new and exciting news. We have created a new challenge design team that will be featured on SpeedyTV. With this team they will focus solely on tutorials. We have ten very talented members that one member will create a tutorial each week and then all you have to do to play along is create a card using that tutorial. As it is with all our design teams when you enter a card to the challenge you will be entered to win a free stamp set and if you use a Mark's Finest Papers, a Heinrich Co stamp set your name will be entered twice. Just think of all the cool techniques you could learn. If you join us for our monthly blog hops you might have said to yourself how did they do that card, well here is your chance to learn how. We hope to have lots of fun with this design team and teaching everyone fun, creative, easy to follow, and informative techniques. Our challenges will be every Friday and you can submit as many cards as you would like to the challenges. You do have to be a member of SpeedyTV to play along. But don't fret joining SpeedyTV is FREE!!!!! Not only do you get to play along with the challenges on SpeedyTV, you can join the swaps, learn new techniques, stamping tips and tricks, and so much more.

Our First challenge is to make a card using Tammylee's tutorial "Coloring on Distress ink with Alcohol Markers". You do have to be a member of SpeedyTV to participate but don't fret it is FREE to join SpeedyTV.

For my card I chose to use the stamp set that one lucky winner will win from this challenge:

"Spring Flowers"

I used Tim Holtz purple distress ink (sorry the actual color escapes me right now) I finished off my card with some purple glitter gems, some brads and a frame.

Speedy Fox and Friends #108 - Heat Embossing

Good Morning All,

Happy early Memorial Day! Welcome to this weeks challenge with Speedy Fox and Friends. What a crazy week this week. I spend yesterday at the Milwaukee County Zoo on my first field trip with my girls. It was a lot of fun. Then the rest of the day I spent trying to fix my email account that was hacked. So now that I am home from Madrid (LOL) I am back to doing my cards.

This week our challenge is to make a card using heat embossing. I chose to use Mark's Finest Papers, a Heinrich Co "Big Cats" stamp set for my card this week. I heat embossed the lion with gold embossing powder. I used Chocolate chip card stock for the base of my card and then layered with sand, DP and white card stock. Friends of SpeedyTV #21 - Memorial Day Card

Happy Monday Blog Friends,

WOW what a week and weekend. We had a great and successful blog hop releasing our stamp sets for May. Thanks to everyone who hopped with us. Then came the weekend. We had beautiful weather for a change and then Saturday night my oldest (miracle baby) said Mommy I don't feel good. Checked her temp 102.2 sure enough you don't feel good. Sunday came and still had the fever, took her to the walk-in and turns out she has strep throat. I feel horrible for her she looks so sad. Hope the medicine will kick in soon.

Anyway onto our challenge at Friends of SpeedyTV. It is already almost half way through the year and Memorial Day is just a week away, so we thought we would challenge you to do a Memorial Day card. The free stamp set up for grabs to one lucky winner is:

For my card I used Marks Finest Papers, a Heinrich Co stamp set "Liberty Lady Mini". I used Red, White, and Blue card stock and gems and American Flag ribbon.

Speedy Fox and Friends #108 - Father's Day

Good Morning Everyone,

Welcome to a new challenge with the Speedy Fox and Friends. Wow what a week, first the blog hop showcasing our new releases, then the Speedy Fox and Friends challenge and don't forget our Friends of SpeedyTV Challenge we have every Monday.  So many ways to win a wonderful stamp set. This week Speedy Fox and Friends is challenging you to make a Father's Day Card.

As some of you many know I lost my dad in October and I have been struggling terribly with anything that has to do with Fathers. I was not going to do this challenge this week because it was just too hard. I know I have my husband who is a father but being the first Father's Day without my dad I just couldn't handle it. At the last minute I thought I am going to make a simple card as a tribute to my dad. I think what made losing my dad so hard for me is because I was really close to him and I had to watch him wither away to nothing and constantly in agony. Here is the memorial card that I made for the visitors that came to pay their respects.

My dad was a real character, he never smiled but he was a master joke teller. You could never tell what he was thinking. Every time my sister or I would bring boys home he put the fear of God into them with his stern look. When it came to his 22 grandkids and 1 great grandkid he was a big softy especially with the girls. Here are some pictures of my dad.

For my card I could only handle making something simple. I created a card using chocolate chip card stock for the base and DP. I used Mark's Finest Papers, a Heinrich Co sentiments from "Your are Cherished", "Big Boy Toys", and "You Light Up Your Life". I finished off the outside of my card with some brown ribbon. On the inside of my card I just added some simple sentiments.

I hope you are enjoying the hop so far this week. We have another great stamp set to show you today.  This set is a complimentary set that will compliment any other stamp set you may have. Do you ever make a card and say if only I had a this or a that, well this stamp set helps with that. 

For my card today I used not only this stamp set but two oldies but goodies. I used "You Light Up Your Life" and "Christmas in the Country" stamp sets.
